Jonathan Demme is taking the reigns of a new documentary on Bob Marley from Martin Scorsese.
The film, being produced by the Marley Family is set to be released on the 65th anniversary of the artists birth. Scorsese, whose Dylan Doc, and recent Stones concert film, has been seeing lots of success with his documentary forays. Scorsese cited scheduling reasons for dropping out of the doc.
It’ll be nice to see an authorized film about the singer, I woulda loved to see Scorsese’s hand in this one, his last two music films have been excellent, however, I do feel its in good hands.
