This Weekend Has One Name: Indiana Jones

indianajones4.jpgAre you excited for Indiana Jones? I can’t speak for the rest of the site, but the idea of one of my favorite films growing up (I was way more an Indy geek then a Star Wars Geek) has finally returned after 19 years. But will it live to expectations? I wish I knew, since I’ve ignored just about ever article out there about the film.

Steve Mason is reporting that the film will be showing in over 9,500+ screens, and has sold out midnight shows across America.

I have no doubt in my mind that Indiana Jones has an extremely good chance of breaking the 5-Day gross record with $177+ million dollars. I was thinking recently, where does it end? When will the one-day gross be just so high, no other movie will top it, is that even possible?

Come back to our site, we will no doubt have a few varying viewpoints to the film, and we’d love to hear what you think about it as well.

  1. I have my tickets for the show tomorrow at 10 in the premium theater. The way Indiana Jones was meant to be watched: in a recliner with a beer. Words cannot describe how excited I am to see this movie. While I’m definitely more of a Star Wars geek than an Indiana Jones geek, it’s like choosing between awesome and awesome. You can’t lose with either.

I really, really hope this movie will belong in a museum.

  2. I’m seeing it tonight at 7:45pm!!! Not in a premium theater like you, I’m seeing it with a mass of annoying theater patrons on cell phones. I’m not sure if I should review movie theater etiquette, or the film, I’ll let you know.

Not possible. There is no end to how much money a film can make in a world with inflating ticket prices and a growth of human population.
