It feels a bit like an abusive relationship with a drunken monkey that continually beats you with its cane, but you stay around because when the monkey is not sloshed off its ass he can do a really cute juggling act and makes people noises.
(*Smooth transition*) We constantly hear about Arrested Development the movie, but this seems promising. And by promising I mean 3 more months of speculation with nothing happening. In an interview with Times Online, Jason Bateman:
A big-screen version of Arrested Development is planned for next year. “When it was on TV, if you missed one word the whole third act could be blown for you. And TV is a different experience. You come home and you’ve got to finish a call so you miss the first ten minutes or you get snacky and you go to the fridge and you miss another two minutes, so it’s a different experience to film.”
So either Times Online snuck in that “planned for next year,” before Bateman’s quote and totally made it up (and if they did that I will send 4 rabid dogs into internet land to gnaw on Mike Goodridge’s testicles) or the movie is planned for next year.
Either way would be good entertainment, but if I had my choice I would rather see the Bluth’s back together than Mike Goodridge having his member maimed. Again, though, either way.
We’re gonna be hearing this rumor for a long time, lets hope it come to fruition, or we’ll be telling our grandkids when someone does a crappy send-up decades in the future, I swear son, it was good when we watched it.
