Affleck Joins Judge’s ‘Extract’

Ben Affleck is in negotiations to star in the new Miramax produced comedy “Extract.” The film is written and will be directed by Mike Judge.

Affleck is in talks to play an ambulance-chasing lawyer. The film centers on a flower extract factory owner (played by Jason Bateman) whose dealing with a streak of bad luck, including his wife’s affair with a gigilo

Mila Kunis, Kristen Wiig, and Clifton Collins Jr. are also in the cast.

Affleck’s last time on screen was for ‘Hollywoodland’ back in 2006. He spent some time out of the limelight, and directed ‘Gone Baby Gone’ which was received fairly well. Judge’s last outting, ‘Idiocracy,’ that was shelved for so long was so-so, but, I’ve got a lot of faith, ‘Office Space,’ is one of those films that has withstood the test of time, and the plot here sounds like a winner.
