Verbinski Gets a ‘Clue’

Apparently, comic book adaptations are old news, these days, board games are all the rage. ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ director Gore Verbinksi has signed on to direct and produce ‘Clue.’

Of course, ‘Clue’ is the infamous board game where players solve murders committed by Professor Plum, Ms. White, Colonel Mustard, Mr. Green, Miss Peacock, or Ms. Scarlett, having used a knife, rope, candlestick, wrench, pistol, or my personal favorite, a lead pipe. The game originated in England by a legal clerk named Anthony Pratt.

This isn’t the first time ‘Clue,’ is being adapted into a film. The last ‘Clue’ film came out in 1985, and starred Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd.

Well if anyone can adapt it, Gore Verbinski can. He took a Disney ride and turned it into a big moneymaking franchise. I’ve got better hopes for this one then ‘Candyland.’
