IFFBoston ’09 Wrap Up

The 7th Annual Independent Film Festival of Boston has come to a close last night at the Coolidge Theater, screening ‘World’s Greatest Dad,’ directed by Bobcat Goldthwait.

This years festival was an overwhelming success. Boston had one of the best weekends weather wise so far this year, but that didn’t stop the lines at the Somerville Theater to wrap around the building. The festival screened 94 films this year, some highlights include The Brothers Bloom, 500 Days of Summer, Trimpin: Sound of Invention, I Need That Record, The Escapist, and Children of Invention.

The winner of the Jury Awards for IFFBoston once again:

Grand Jury Prize: CHILDREN OF INVENTION
Special Jury Prize: BEESWAX

Special Jury Prize: UNMISTAKEN CHILD
Honorable Mention: THE WAY WE GET BY

We’d like to thank IFFBoston for once again allowing us to cover the festival, and we are already looking forward to the 8th Annual festival, the wait begins.
