Much like the release of Unrated editions of PG-13/R-rated films, the big marketing tool for films are the release of Red Band trailers prior to its release. However, the ability to view these Red Band trailers via the internet require age verification (because that’ll stop a kid), and occasionally, trailers can only be viewed later in the evening. There was a time when these trailers could be found before films, but when the industry was attacked for marketing adul content and violence to children, theaters stopped playing them.
That’s all about to change, Regal approved the screening of Red Band trailers before Rated R Films. As long as I can see the full Pineapple Express red band trailer before Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I’ll be a happy fellah.
