Motley Crue put their hairspray soaked heads together and came up with an idea for a festival. This summer, the Crue, along with bands like Papa Roach, Buckcherry, Trapt and Nikki Sixx’s other band Sixx a.m., will hit the road in the cleverly titled “Cruefest.” Says Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx,
“Well, we were looking for bands that first of all had hit songs. That’s important to us. That the bands aren’t just run-of-the-mill bands but they have amazing songs. We’re also looking for bands that live the rock and roll lifestyle because that’s what we’re taking around the country is rock and roll and the lifestyle, and these bands all stand for that. They all look and smell and I’m sure some of you will find out, taste like rock stars.”
Motley Crue will be promoting their upcoming album, rumored to be titled The Dirt. The album is led by the single “The Saints of Los Angeles” which hit radio stations on Tuesday, April 15th.
Between this tour and the Poison tour (featuring Dokken and Sebastian Bach?!) what’s a boy to do?! I mean, besides pretend to be excited about this.
