Paramount Pictures has bought the rights to an article in Wired magazine as a potential movie for J.J. Abrams to direct. The article, titled, “The Untold Story of the World’s Biggest Diamond Heist,” was writted by Joshua Davis.
The story is about a $100+ million diamond and gold heist that took place in Belgium in 2003. The thieves were able to get through ten layers of security to get to the vault
Abrams, who has previously directed “M:I- 3,” and the upcoming “Star Trek,” could direct. As a fan of heist films in general, I’m very, very intrigued by this one. -Sam
