Oscar-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen are reportedly taking on a remake of John Wayne’s classic “True Grit.”
The movie, which won Wayne an Oscar, was released in 1969. Variety says the new movie will not be a traditional remake, and instead will be very faithful to the Charles Portis book. The book is about a 14 year-old girl who joins forces with an older US marshal to track her father’s killer in hostile Indian territory.
Even though I wasn’t nuts about their last movie, I’ll still go and see anything the Coens do. This is no exception. -Sam
