Actress Marilyn Chambers, best known for the starring role in the 1970s adult film classic, “Deep Throat,” has died at age 56.
Chambers was found in her home Sunday night. Police do not suspect foul play, but are conducting toxicology tests and awaiting results.
Chambers also appeared in David Cronenberg’s early film, “Rabid.” She also appeared on the Ivory soap box as part of a modeling career undertaken before her turn in adult films.
She will be missed.
