There’s something about Coachella that makes bands want to get back together. Last year Rage Against the Machine regrouped at the desert festival after 7 years of being apart. This year British group Portishead will continue the trend and rejoin on stage for the first time in 3 years, after a brief return at a Tsunami Benefit Concert (that marked their first time together in 7 years).
The band, which has only released 2 studio albums (‘Dummy’ and ‘Portishead’) and one live album (‘Roseland NYC Live’), will likely be using Coachella reunion as a kickoff to promote their recently mixed new album, ‘Third,’ due out in April 2008.
