In anticipation of their upcoming screening of the films of Stanley Kubrick, the BBC has produced an amazing commercial, giving viewers an idea of what it was like on a Kubrick set.
In a 65-second tracking shot, the camera wanders through the set, with many of the film’s cast and crew represented as the camera, playing the role of Kubrick, walk to work.
Actors resembling Shelly Duvall, Danny Lloyd and cinematographer John Alcott were all hired.
Check it out, it’s really impressive. And it makes me want to re-visit Kubrick’s work. Something that is always a worthwhile pursuit. -Sam
