I may risk getting blacklisted in China for this, but, I’ve grown tired of hearing about the Chinese censors.
The State Administration for Radio, Film, and Television in China has asked for changes in Universal’s new Rob Cohen directed Mummy flick, “The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.” Now I’m not coming to this pics defense, if Universal had any sense, they wouldn’t have even given the movie the greenlgiht.
The film, which cost $145 million dollars, was shot on location in China, and stars Jet Li, one of the country’s biggest stars. The filmmakers had to adhere to censors previously, by focusing on the film more on Fantasy, then factual history (yes I said Factual while talking about a Brendan Fraser film).
I’m not sure exactly what the Government is looking to censor, but something tells me its not Brendan Fraser’s acting.
