In a previous entry, I mentioned how the James Bond films have been adept at marketing and making sure that every person on the planet knew that a new movie was coming. (As an aside, I read once that statistics show that around half the world’s population has seen a James Bond film. Half. Sadly, my girlfriend is on the other side, a fact I plan on trying to rectify with ‘Quantum of Solace.’) One of the earliest and better made TV programs promoting the films was 1992’s ’30 Years of James Bond.’
The program featured interviews with various Bonds and Bond creators. What is now commonplace and on every Bond DVD, (those documentaries are wonderful, aren’t they?) at the time was an exciting and new inside look at the films. Please enjoy.
