Rumors abound about this story, and they’ve been going on for a while. Is Mel Gibson coming back? Is this a fourth Mad Max movie or is it a remake of one of the first three?
Here’s what we know: writer/director George Miller reportedly has a fully story-boarded script of “Fury Road,” which would be the fourth film in the series. At the same time, there have been rumors that Miller wants to take Max back out of mothballs. Would this be “Fury Road?” Now these rumors have been circling for some time. Now, here’s a little more fuel for the fire.
Australia’s Herald Sun is reporting that Miller is gearing up to shoot a fourth Max film this year. Miller is reportedly currently scouting locations. The Herald Sun says Mel Gibson won’t be returning. The last Mad Max movie, “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome,” was released in 1985 and was, in my humble opinion, no where near as good as “The Road Warrior.”
