A new documentary by Michael Moore will be released on October 2nd, according to distributor Overture Films/Paramount Vantage.
The untitled movie was originally going to be about America as an empire, but the focus has shifted to the economic meltdown. Moore has called the bailout, “the biggest swindle in American history.”
In a press release, Moore said, “The wealthy, at some point, decided they didn’t have enough wealth. They wanted more — a lot more. So they systematically set about to fleece the American people out of their hard-earned money. Now, why would they do this? That is what I seek to discover in this movie.”
I wasn’t nuts about his last movie, “Slacker Uprising,” but I’ve loved everything else. Here’s hoping he picks up where “Sicko” left off. Moore’s other films were released and didn’t really rile anybody up, so, I’m guessing the same can be said of this.
