‘500 Days’ to Open Locarno Film Festival

500 Days of Summer will be making its European premiere at the 62nd Locarno Film Festival. The film stars Joseph Gordeon-Levvitt and Zooey Deschanel, and was directed by Marc Webb.

I was fortunate enough to see this film at IFFBoston 2009, and my review can be read here. The film will be screening out-of-competition at the Piazza Grande, an open air 8,500 seat theater. Though, U2 played at the same theater I saw my screening in just a few weeks prior, so beat that, Piazza. Unless of course U2 has played at Piazza Grande as well…

The film premieres here in the US July 17th.
