Cameron Shows 20 Minutes of “Avatar”

Director James Cameron screened 20 minutes of his upcoming “Avatar” at CineExpo in Amsterdam.  And the reaction?  Um, pretty freaking good.  Unique Cinema Systems tweeted the following after the movie:

CGI was photorealistic, characters look really real. Believe the hype, this movie will be massive!”

Footage from “Avatar” at #cinexpo was stunning, literally jawdropping. Amazing visuals unlike any before seen, with incredible detail.”

Cameron said after the screening that each finished frame of film took 30-50 hours to render.  And to make the shot 3D, double that amount.  No word if Cameron will be showing footage at Comic Con or any other festival.  Cameron also added that “Avatar” will look good in any format, be it, 2 or 3D.
