The Independent Film Festival of Boston always has an amazing selection of documentaries, and this year is no exception. For our first doc spotlight, I wanted to feature Life on the V: The Story of V66. The film is the debut feature documentary from Eric Green, and tells the story a popular music video channel that broadcast around Boston between 1985 and 1986, and disappeared from the airwaves after 18 months.
The doc focuses on the nostalgia, and the importance of the channel in the middle of the music video craze. It features channel co-founders John Garabedian, and Arnie Ginsberg, as well as various members of the Boston 80s music scene.
The films IFFBoston screening marks its world premiere. The film screens on Sunday, April 27 at 4pm at the Somerville Theatre. Buy Tickets Here.
