I know the title of this is ‘Review: Terminator Salvation,’ but in reality, I should title this article, “In Defense of Terminator Salvation.” The past films of McG haven’t been films I’ve been particularly a fan of, so handing him a treasured franchise like Terminator was definitely an idea that did not sit well with fans, myself included. My expectations going into this were lower then low. [Read more…]
Forget what you know about this, the meltdown, the fact that it was directed by McG…for the first time, I’m interested. I like everything but the music choice. What do you guys think?
Happy Friday, Gizmodo posted this pic of a badass John Connor (Christian Bale) about to blow away a Terminator in this still. Despite McG, I can feel the hype building. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!
With it premiering in front of that other little Christian Bale movie called The Dark Something or Other (I haven’t heard much about it), it was inevitable that it was going to hit the Internet soon. Lo and behold it has! And officially none the less.
Check out the teaser trailer for the upcoming Bale/McG (the thought of McG helming this makes me shudder. Thank god Bale’s back it up.) joint, ‘Terminator: Salvation‘!
Moon Bloodgood who takes the award for most interesting name I’ve heard this week, is in final negotiations to star as the female lead in the fourth Terminator film. Her character will be a member of the resistance.
The former Laker Girl was last seen in the short lived time travel series, Journeyman.
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, and Anton Yelchin.
If you’ve forgotten, the film will begin lensing May 5 with McG at the helm, with a planned Summer 2009 release.
Terminator 3 was a complete and utter disappointment.
Granted I’ve really only seen it once, and there have been times where things are better on the second viewing, but nothing about this film inspires me to view itagain.
That being said, on paper, there are a lot of possibilities that
the franchise could be rebooted by putting Christian Bale in
the role of John Connor in Terminator Salvation. However, with McG in the director’s seat, the geek in me is slightly nervous. Can you honestly trust someone with three letters in their name? But seriously, Charlie’s Angels, eh, maybe he can do it, but I would have loved to see someone much darker tackle this.
The story is under wraps, but it is part of a new trilogy, and follows John Connor leading a group of survivors, attempting to stop Skynet, who has destroyed much of the human race. The film is set to begin shooting in May for a Memorial Day Weekend 2009 release.
